AION 2 Halloween event: coins, shop and candy keys

Event dates and rewards

The AION 2 Global Halloween event has daily Attendance rewards, Event missions, a shop that accepts Halloween Pumpkin Coins, and candy placed in settlements. You can earn the coins through your normal weekly activities: dungeons, Nightmare, Abyss and the Shugo Festival.

Event rewards cannot be tradedAll event items are bound. Attendance rewards and Event missions count once per server, so alternate characters do not earn extra coins. Candy, cookies, fragments and keys disappear on 4 November; use them before then.

How to earn Halloween Pumpkin Coins

Halloween Pumpkin Coin (Event) is the event currency. There are two sources, and neither requires much extra play time.

1. “Trick or Treat” Attendance rewards

Open Attendance in the game menu and claim the reward for the day. There are 14 attendance rewards:

That is 620 coins in total. The event lasts three weeks, leaving room to miss a couple of days, though claiming rewards daily is best.

2. Event missions

Ten missions are available under Season Mission → Event. They reset once a week per server.

All ten missions give 235 coins per week. That is 705 over three weeks and about 1,325 including Attendance rewards.

Scrolls are the easiest missionUse five Battle Enhance Scrolls before a boss or in Nightmare. Dimensional Invasion starts every half-hour; simply participating completes its mission.

The Special Halloween Chest contains two items: the Spooky Scary Skeleton (Chest Skin) and 10,000 Pet Soul Crystals. The crystals speed up pet progression, making this the best event purchase.

The event also places candy around settlements. You need a key to open it. Make keys from Candy Key Fragment (Event), earned from Expedition and Transcendence rewards.

Which key should you make first?If you have enough fragments for only one key, choose Blue: four Odyle Energy means four extra dungeon reward cubes. Yellow suits Abyss Point farming; Red helps with pets. Each spare fragment can be morphed into 10 Superior Power Shards.

Halloween food

Halloween Candy and Cookies last five minutes and are useful before bosses or Nightmare:

The food is removed on 4 November. Use it before difficult fights instead of saving it.

Halloween skin shop

The in-game shop also has paid Halloween cosmetics: three armour sets, weapon skins for every class, two pets, spider-shaped wings and head and face accessories. They are available until maintenance on 25 November. These are cosmetic only; the free Spooky Scary Skeleton chest skin from the Special Halloween Chest is also a good collection piece.

Common mistakes
