Main character and alts
AION 2 has a lot of daily and weekly activities, so it is easy to lose track. The key thing to understand is that some rewards are shared across the server (only your main character can claim them), while others are separate for each character. That is the whole reason to use alts.
| Activity | Amount | Main or each character |
|---|---|---|
| Duty Quests (J) | 5 per day | Main only (shared across the server) |
| Ascension Trial | 3 per week | Each character |
| Daily Dungeon | 14 runs per week | Main only |
| Battlefield (PvP) | 3 wins per week | Each character |
| Odyle Energy | +120 per day | Each character (from level 22) |
| Nightmare | +2 scrolls per day | Each character (from level 45) |
| Shugo Festival | +2 keys per day | Keys shared across the account |
| Command Scrolls (city) | 12 per week | Main only |
| Abyss Corridor | After capturing artifacts | Each character |
Keep track of everything with our daily and weekly checklist. It clears your checkmarks after each reset and tracks each character separately.
Every day: Duty Quests
This is the only truly daily activity. Open Esc → Journal → Duty (or press J). You get 5 quests each day, but they are shared across the server, so complete them on your main character. They unlock at level 45.
The quests themselves are simple: kill a boss or a few monsters in the open world — it takes 1–2 minutes. The reward is what matters. Each quest has one guaranteed reward and five random rewards; the farther left a reward appears in the list, the higher its chance. Browse the list and pick quests that show what you need on the left:

Anything that glows gold (unique items and materials) is also worth taking.
Resources that build up on their own

Odyle Energy
You need it to open the reward cube after the final boss in a dungeon. One cube costs 40 Energy. With a subscription, you can open the cube a second time for another 40.
- Restores 15 Energy every 3 hours — 120 per day.
- The cap is 840. Once you reach it, Energy stops building up and you lose potential Energy.
- It unlocks at level 22, when the story sends you on your first expedition to Krao Cave. You start with 120 out of 840.
- Each character has their own Energy. That is why alts are so useful.
Shugo Festival
Mini-games run every hour: a window appears in the top-right corner, where you can choose a game. You need a Shugo Festival Key to claim a reward.
- You get +2 keys per day, up to 14. It unlocks at level 13.
- Keys are shared by all your characters, so spend them on your main.
Nightmare
One-on-one boss fights. Each attempt costs one Nightmare Scroll.
- You get +2 scrolls per day, up to 14. It unlocks at level 45; scrolls do not accumulate before then.
- Each character has their own scrolls.
- Nightmare has difficulty levels: the higher you clear, the better the reward. Let your scrolls build up during the first week while you gain strength.
Every week
The weekly reset is Wednesday at 05:00 server time. Before then, finish the following:
Global: what we compared | What we checked | In one reference | Global client schedule | What to do | |---|---|---|---| | Weekly reset day | Listed as Tuesday | Wednesday, 05:00 server time | Plan activities before Wednesday 05:00 | | Daily Dungeon reset | Described as Tuesday | Shared weekly reset: Wednesday, 05:00 | Follow the in-game timer and Global schedule |
The Global schedule may change after updates. Check the in-game timer.
Weekly checklist
- Ascension Trial ×3Solo dungeon with three rooms of monsters and a final boss. Choose the difficulty yourself; each one has an item-level requirement. You can and should do this on every character.
- Daily Dungeon ×14Despite its name, the limit is weekly. You have 1 minute 30 seconds to kill as many monsters as possible; rewards are based on your score. Main character only.
- Battlefield ×3 winsA balanced PvP mode. The reward for three wins per week is available on every character.
- Command ScrollsIn the main city, the Command Scroll merchant offers 12 quests per week (shared across the server). In the Abyss, the same type of merchant offers up to 20 PvP quests. You do not have to complete them right away: the key is to buy them before reset; you can save them for later.
- Odyle Energy craftingSubstance Morph has two Odyle Energy recipes: one can be crafted 4 times per character, the other 16 times per server. That is 20 on your main and 4 on each alt.
- Subscription shopIf you have a subscription: Shop → Wind Breeze Merchants HQ vendor → Special Goods tab. It has Energy (with the same limits as crafting), Strange Rift Trial Scrolls for extra Daily Dungeon runs, and Soul Crystals for bloodline progression.
How to prioritize activities before reset
First finish anything that cannot roll over: weekly Daily Dungeon runs, Ascension Trial attempts, Battlefield wins, and limited weekly purchases. If time is short, check the timers and remaining attempts in the client, then use any available Odyle Energy crafting attempts. After that, you can do activities without a weekly limit and anything that does not have to be completed before reset.
It is also best to start crafting early: proficiency does not rise in one evening, and the regional quest to increase your rank appears at profession level 50. If you plan to craft gear, gather the required primary material and raise your proficiency to unlock expensive recipes with a higher chance of success.
Abyss: Artifact Siege and the Corridor
Artifact Siege takes place in the Abyss on Wednesdays and Saturdays: the factions fight over three artifacts. For every artifact your faction captures, it gains access to the Abyss Corridor.
You have 2 minutes in the Corridor to kill as many monsters as possible, earning Kina and Abyss points. The number of times you can enter before the next siege matches the number of artifacts your faction captured. Both your main and your alts can enter the Corridor. Read more about the Abyss in How to enter the Abyss.
Optional: bosses and Supply Requests
- Field bosses. The Exploration tab on the map shows where and when they appear. Some are in the open world (PvE), others in the Abyss (PvP). You do not need to wait around for them, but if you are playing and a boss is about to appear, go take it on. More in World and field bosses.
- Supply Requests. The system asks you to turn in items or materials and mainly rewards Abyss points. There are urgent (daily), weekly, and seasonal requests. The requests are the same for all players, so required materials can quickly become expensive on the market. Turn them in if you already have the materials, but do not pay an inflated price just for a request. Sometimes selling is the better choice.
Your first-week plan
Reset is on Wednesday. If you start on October 5 (Monday), there are only two days until the first reset, so your plan differs from one for a full week.
If you have a week before reset
- Day 1Get all characters to level 22 so each starts building Energy. Then get your main to 45 (unlocking Nightmare and Duty Quests) and complete 5 Duty Quests.
- Days 2–6Complete 5 Duty Quests every day. Then get your alts to level 45. After that, clear the map on your main: story, green quests, sealed dungeons and garrisons, and feathers. Aim for 1400 item level. Along the way, do Battlefield, Shugo Festival, and Abyss Corridor.
- Day 7 (Tuesday)Energy is nearly full, so run dungeons: your main in Vakron Sky Island (requires 1400), and alts in Draupnir or Krao Cave. Also do Nightmare (you should have 14 scrolls), Ascension Trial, Daily Dungeon, Energy crafting, and the shops.
If you have two days before reset (starting October 5)
- Day 1Same plan: get every character to 22, your main to 45, and complete 5 Duty Quests.
- Day 2 — priorityComplete Ascension Trial and Daily Dungeon before reset. If you have enough resources, craft Odyle Energy and visit the subscription shop.
- Day 2 — nextComplete Duty Quests, buy Command Scrolls (in the city and Abyss), and get your alts to 45 so they can also complete Ascension Trial.
- Day 2 — if there is time leftDo Battlefield and finish clearing the map on your main.
- Energy at the cap840 is the cap. Anything above it is lost.
- Shugo keys on an altThey are shared, so spend them on the character who needs the rewards most.
- Doing Ascension Trial on day oneRewards depend on your strength. Wait until the end of the week.
- “I’ll buy Command Scrolls later”The weekly purchase limit does not carry over after reset. Buy them now; you can complete them later.
- Alts below level 22An alt does not build Energy until it reaches level 22.
Daily
- 5 Duty Quests (main)
- Keep Energy below the cap
- Shugo Festival if you have keys
- Nightmare when your scroll count is close to 14
Weekly (before Wednesday 05:00)
- 3 Ascension Trials on each character
- 14 Daily Dungeons on your main
- 3 Battlefield wins
- Buy Command Scrolls (city and Abyss)
- Craft Odyle Energy: 20 on your main, 4 on each alt
- Subscription shop
- Abyss Corridor after Artifact Siege
The main points
Every day, complete 5 Duty Quests on your main and keep Odyle Energy, Shugo keys, and Nightmare Scrolls from hitting their caps. Every week, do Ascension Trial, Daily Dungeon, Battlefield, Command Scrolls, Energy crafting, and the subscription shop. Save result-based trials for closer to Wednesday reset. Get your alts to level 22 early so each builds its own Energy.
