AION 2 Global from Russia — account, release date, servers

Key facts
- AION 2 Global launches on October 5, 2026 on Steam and in NCSoft's PURPLE launcher. Early access starts on September 30 for Founder's Pack owners.
- Russian is officially supported: interface and subtitles. Voice-over is English, Japanese and Korean.
- NCSoft has confirmed servers in North America, South America, Europe and Japan. There is no Russian server and no Russian publisher.
- The game does not show up in the Steam store on Russian accounts. To play you need a Steam account from another region — players most often pick Kazakhstan.
- NCSoft has made no official statement about availability in Russia. We follow the news and will update this page as soon as there is one.
Can you play AION 2 Global from Russia
NCSoft publishes the global version itself, with no local partner for Russia and the CIS. The official FAQ does not mention Russia separately: it lists servers in Europe, North and South America and Japan. In practice the AION 2 Steam page does not open on Russian accounts, and during the tests players from Russia ran into region restrictions. NCSoft has not commented on this officially.

A Steam account for AION 2
The game is not shown in the Steam store on Russian accounts, so AION 2 needs a Steam account from another region. Players from Russia most often use a Kazakhstan account: the game is available there and the client has the same Russian language.
Keep in mind that Valve sets account regions and the rules for changing them, and NCSoft does not officially support Russia. The decision and any risk to the account are yours — we only describe how things stand.
Which server to pick
European servers are the closest to Russia, so they have the lowest latency (ping). There will be no cross-server play, so pick a server in advance with your friends or legion. NCSoft has not announced the server names yet — they will appear on the Servers and maintenance page.
Russian in the game
The Russian localization covers the interface, quests, item descriptions and subtitles. Our Russian site takes every item, skill, NPC and quest name from the game client's Russian localization, so the names match what you see in AION 2.
Korean and Taiwanese versions
AION 2 launched in Korea and Taiwan before the global version and runs on its own servers, with content ahead of Global. In our database and in player builds this data is marked separately as "Korea and Taiwan".
